Engagement Dinner

Before we got engaged, my now-husband and I travelled to Đà Lạt together. During the trip, we stopped to eat cơm cháy, a crispy rice dish that we shared between us. We sat down, ate and talked about what we wanted to do for the rest of our time there. At the time, it felt like a normal meal during our holiday, and I did not know how important the trip would later become.

Looking back, it is now one of the memories I associate with the time just before our engagement. There was nothing particularly elaborate about it, but I still remember us sitting together and enjoying the food. It reminds me of an early and exciting stage in our relationship, before he became my husband.
